It was clearly shown that people who ate a Mediterranean diet \u2013 i.e. with lots of fish, vegetables, nuts and vegetable oils \u2013 achieved significantly better results in memory tests and had overall lower cognitive impairments.<\/p><p data-start=\"6374\" data-end=\"6774\">The researchers emphasize that it is not about individual &#8220;miracle foods&#8221;, but about long-term healthy eating habits that overall reduce inflammation in the body, improve blood circulation in the brain and support metabolism. The combination of antioxidants and omega-3 fatty acids, which together prevent cell damage in the brain, proved to be particularly effective
