The results speak for themselves: A diet rich in legumes, whole grains and nuts significantly extends life expectancy. Even people who switch to a healthy diet at the age of 60 benefit from an extension of their life expectancy by an average of eight years. <\/p><p>The positive effect is based on the high concentration of health-promoting ingredients in plant-based foods: Fiber, secondary plant compounds and unsaturated fatty acids promote cell regeneration, reduce inflammation and protect against
