Accessibility

Accessibility Statement

TUI Deutschland GmbH endeavors to make the website www.longevity-travel.de accessible in accordance with national legislation implementing the European standard (EN) 301 549 and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standard.

This accessibility statement applies to the website www.longevity-travel.de.

What is accessibility?

EN 301 549 and the WCAG define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. They define three levels of compliance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. The guidelines cover a wide range of accessibility features, including text size and color, keyboard navigation, and screen reader compatibility.

When was the accessibility statement created?

This statement was created on: 09.09.2025

How accessible is the website?

The website is not yet fully accessible for people with disabilities. However, gaps and limitations on the website are continuously identified and fixed. Over the last 18 months, significant progress has been made, teams have been trained and supported to provide an accessible website. A digital accessibility working group has been established to review and improve processes.

The assessment is based on a self-evaluation. As a result of this review, the website is partially compliant with the aforementioned requirements.

Specifically, the following issues are not fully compliant with the accessibility regulations applicable to us:

  • Barrier: Keyboard operability is not fully ensured, elements in the menu are not accessed in a logical order.
  • Barrier: Some links contain no text.
  • Barrier: Some buttons are empty or contain no descriptive text.
  • Barrier: Partially missing alternative or descriptive texts for images.
  • Barrier: Some externally embedded content and booking processes are beyond our control with regard to accessibility.

A complete removal of existing barriers is currently not feasible for economic reasons.

Nevertheless, gaps and limitations on the website are continuously identified and fixed. The goal is to achieve significant progress in improving accessibility within the next twelve months. Currently, measures are focused on the following points:

  • Ongoing training and support of responsible teams to design the website more accessibly.
  • Completion of the review of existing processes by the digital accessibility working group and implementation of necessary improvements.
  • Collection of user feedback via provided website tools as well as analysis, categorization, and forwarding of results to the responsible working group for review and as a basis for future design decisions.
  • Continuous optimization of website components to improve accessibility.
  • Adjustment of text sizes and color contrasts for better readability.
  • Improvements in keyboard operability and compatibility with screen readers.

Accessibility Plugin

The website offers the accessibility plugin AccessGO (www.accessgo.de) from DGfB Deutsche Gesellschaft für Barrierefreiheit mbH. With this, users can adapt the website to individual limitations or preferences. The settings can be accessed via the AccessGO symbol or alternatively via the keyboard shortcut “ALT + 1”. All functions can also be controlled with the keyboard.

Among other things, this makes it possible to adjust the following aspects:

  • Font size
  • Contrast
  • Highlighting of links
  • Activating a screen reader
  • Use of profiles to activate multiple settings at the same time.
